Cycle World Magazine Names the Ninja® ZX6R as 2011′s “Best Middleweight Streetbike”

Cycle World named the best bike in each category for its 2011 “Ten Best Bikes” issue, and when it comes to the “Middleweight Streetbike” (aka supersport) class, their choice–for the third year running–was the Kawasaki Ninja® ZX™-6R. Here is what the editors at Cycle World had to say about the ZX-6R’s latest victory: “For a third year running, Team Green has been the envy of its class.”

“Although the latest Gixxer has closed the gap, it too came up short in both overall performance and value.”

“It’s small money for a well-rounded streetable sportbike with good midrange power followed by a 112-hp knockout punch.”

“Lunch time or lap time, the ZX-6R is ready.”

Cycle World Magazine Names the Z1000 as 2011’s “Best Standard”

Cycle World named the best bike in each category for its 2011 “Ten Best Bikes” issue, and when it comes to “Standard” (aka naked) motorcycles, their overwhelming pick– for the second year running–was the Kawasaki Z1000. Here is what the editors at Cycle World had to say about the Z1000’s latest victory:

“…neither the Triple’s howl nor the Honda’s savoir-faire were enough to dislodge the 127-horse Kawasaki from its position of power.”

“Something about the Z’s blend of massive, smooth, broadband thrust…”

“…a high degree of comfort and usability in everyday riding won our hearts for the second year in a row.”

“Then there’s the $1200-cheaper-than-the-Triumph part. No bread? Let them eat Kawasaki.”
